Melanie is originally from Northern California and completed her undergraduate degree at Sonoma State University where she majored in Psychology. She then moved to San Diego to pursue her Master of Arts in Counseling with an emphasis in school counseling at the University of San Diego. While in graduate school, she worked in financial aid, as well as middle and high school counseling. She has worked in Student Affairs at UC San Diego since 2017 as an Undergraduate Advisor and Program Coordinator. Melanie loves working with students as they navigate their time here at UC San Diego and with her own background being in education, she is excited to work with the students in Education Studies!
In Melanie's free time, she can be found at the beach or outside doing something active.  She also loves traveling and exploring all there is to do in San Diego!
