Profile
Sherice Clarke is an Associate Professor in the Department of Education Studies Dr. Clarke is a learning scientist who uses micro-genetic discourse methodologies to study learning, in and out of school. She is currently engaged in research on teacher learning of justice-centered and anti-racist pedagogy, and climate education for climate justice. Prior to joining the faculty at UC San Diego, she was a postdoctoral fellow and research associate at the University of Pittsburgh’s Learning Research and Development Center. She received her PhD in Education from the University of Edinburgh’s Moray House School of Education. In 2022, she was awarded the National Science Foundation’s CAREER Award, which is the foundation’s most prestigious award in support of early career faculty.
At UC San Diego, Dr. Clarke is affiliated faculty in the Environmental Studies Program, the Human Development Program, Black Diaspora and African American Studies Program, and the UCSD-SDSU joint-doctoral program on Math and Science Education. She is a member of UC San Diego's Climate Action Lab.
