Profile
David Jordi Coronel is a Ph.D. Student in the Department of Education Studies at the University of California, San Diego. His area of interest surrounds the mental health crisis plaguing LGBTQ youth resultant ostracism, marginalization, persecution, and isolation experienced within K-12 public educational systems of the United States. The post-graduation eventuality is to evaluate how psychosocial determinants affect short- and long-term psychological outcomes of queer youth to reduce clinical mental health diagnoses and suicidality, prevent isolation, and improve perceived quality of life as related to policy surrounding universal LGBTQ-affirmative curricula and mental health resource placement in public educational institutions of the United States.
