Yan Jiang

Yan Jiang is a Ph.D. student in Education Studies at UC San Diego, with a specialization in Computational Social Science. Her primary research focuses on promoting equitable access to high-quality early childhood education and re-envisioning the definition of “high-quality” in a global setting. Additionally, Yan is captivated by the science of research, employing methods such as meta-analysis and data visualization to critically inspect existing research paradigms. She integrates computer science with social science, pioneering innovative methodologies to address pressing issues. As an advocate for education justice, she has been actively involved in local preschools for children from lower-income families and voluntary programs to promote academic performance for children in welfare homes.
