Preparing College-Ready Writers (6-16): Writing for College & Career Readiness in the Secondary Classroom

This 3-day open institute program answers the contemporary call for respectful argumentative discourse to prepare students for college, career, and civic engagement within an equity framework. Designed to improve teachers' ability to teach to college-, career- and community-ready writing standards, with a specific emphasis on improving students' skills and ability to write thoughtful, evidence-based arguments utilizing non-fiction sources.
